Course Content
Ottoman palaces, the people of the palace, the valide sultan, the princes, the sultan's daughters and wives, the servants in the palace. The sultan and his powers, the method of succession in the Ottomans. Ottoman sultanate signs. Education, finance, justice, military organizations.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to explain the institutional structure of the Ottoman State organization, to reveal the differences in the periods of development and decadence.
