Course Content
The meaning of writing history according to historical events and documents, the possibility of knowing historical events and their causes, objective analysis and evaluation of these events, etc. The place of the Philosophy of History in philosophical thought, philosophical thinking, what History and Philosophy of History are, their emergence, understandings of History and Philosophy of History over the ages, thinkers and historians related to these understandings, in order to know the philosophical approaches etc. known from the past on the subject of history and to be able to carry them to historical understanding. , interpreting relevant Philosophy of History movements and historical events in terms of philosophical problems, explaining which laws are behind these events.
Objectives of the Course
This course aims to help students to learn about the conditions of philosophy in history, the qualities of the philosophical approach; aims at identifying the basic paradigm shifts that originate in the emergence of the philosophy of history, and identifying the philosophies of the particular history of the day from the 18th century.
