Course Content
Psychiatric nursing; philosophy, roles, functions, practice standards, concepts related to the models and theories it uses, spirit protection of health, defense mechanisms of the self, psychopathology, The professional relationship and characteristics established with the client, the therapeutic use, therapeutic and non-therapeutic communication skills, psychological It includes topics such as health protection and evaluation. In addition, students spend at least eight hours a week with the client (patient) in the clinic. works and receives supervision. During the clinical work process, students focuses on integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable graduate students to deeply understand the theories and models used in nursing science and psychiatric nursing from theoretical, philosophical, and applied perspectives; to analyze biomedical and psychosocial approaches from a holistic viewpoint; and to critically integrate different theories and models into mental health nursing practices, education, and research processes.
