Course Content
Art and aesthetics in Islam. Geographical, historical and social dimensions of Islamic art, starting from the Kâbe and Masjid al-Nabawi, the architectural works of the Umayyad, Abbasi, Umayyad, Fatimid, Memlukli, Karahanli, Gazneli and Great Seljuk Periods, architectural ornamentation and traditional handicrafts of the period.
Objectives of the Course
It is aimed to recognize and introduce the historical works which are the application field of Islamic arts besides the recognition and examination of these arts with general lines and practice examples.
