Course Content
Child Expecting Family and Nursing course examines fundamental concepts, theories, and principles related to women's health. It teaches the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to protect and promote the health and well-being of women and families throughout their entire life cycle, enhance their role in the family and society, and provide holistic care when health is compromised. The course covers topics such as the physiological events experienced by women from birth to menopause, along with their psychosocial development, sexual health, reproductive health, reproductive cycle anomalies and structural disorders, the formation of pregnancy and its psychosocial dimension, perinatal care, fertility regulation, infertility, reproductive organ infections, gynecological diagnosis and treatment methods, and nursing care.
Objectives of the Course
It provides the student with the basic knowledge and skills related to the reproductive system, the formation of pregnancy, prenatal and postnatal periods, and women's health and diseases within the primary health care approach to protect, develop and correct physical, mental and social health of the individual, family and society.
