Course Content
In this course; culture and related concepts, cultural traditions, structure, attitude, prejudice and discrimination in various cultures, cultural differences and similarities, relations between cultural values and concepts of death, religion, tradition and health in different cultures, culture based health care theories and models, cultural factors affecting health and disease, intercultural nursing care, cultural competency and nursing practices, observations and personal experiences are discussed.
Objectives of the Course
To ensure that students learn intercultural nursing models and become able to apply cultural competence in nursing education and practice.
