Course Content
In this course; the concept of stress and types of stress, causes of stress and physiology of stress, symptoms of stress, reactions to stress, emotional and cognitive aspects of stress, psychological resilience, effective coping skills (self-awareness, interpersonal relationships, effective communication, self-compassion, problem-solving skills, breathing exercises and relaxation exercises) are examined.
Objectives of the Course
The purpose of this course is to enable students to recognize the concept of stress and types of stress, to recognize the causes of stress and potential stress factors, to understand the symptoms of stress and reactions to stress, to be informed about the cognitive and emotional aspects of stress, to learn and develop effective coping skills, and to help the individuals they serve use the behavioral skills they have learned.
