Course Content
Basic components of environmentally sustainable development, Water / carbon / ecological footprint, Environment and natural resource management, Environmental principles of sustainable development goals, distribution of natural resources and environment, Zero waste management, Water / Air / Soil and Radioactive Contamination, Waste management and principles, Hospital Waste Management, Renewable energy sources, Basics of climate change, Related strategies, legal regulations and policies on national and global scale will be included.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide information about the problems such as the destruction of resources, unnecessary waste and alternative uses of resources, especially environmental pollution, and solutions to these problems, to learn about the concept of environment, environmental health and waste management and the effects of environmental problems on public health, to evaluate sustainability with the environmental dimension and to provide information about establishing a relationship, to comprehend the definition of waste, to learn about the effects of climate change, to provide an overview of renewable energy sources and technologies that include these energy sources.
