Course Content
It covers the position of the Turkish language among world languages and the historical periods of the Turkish language. It also includes Turkish phonetics and the classification of sounds, phonological features, and related rules. In addition, it addresses derivational suffixes in Turkish and their application, general information about composition, and the planning and practice of essay writing.
Objectives of the Course
To be able to use Turkish properly and beautifully through written and oral narrative in terms of language-thought connection and to dominate a unifying and integrative language in teaching is to raise young people with native language consciousness.

| 2 | Types of written expression: the article. General information about articles. Explanation of how an article is prepared and written. Reading various sample articles. Preparation of an article on the topic of "Development of language awareness, language pollution, and Atatürk's understanding of language." |
| 3 | Types of written expression: essay, criticism, anecdote, and interview. The characteristics of these genres and the analysis of sample texts. |
| 4 | Narrative texts: short story. Examples of short stories from Turkish literature. |
| 5 | Narrative texts: the novel. Definition of the novel, its subject, elements, and types. Examples of novels from Turkish and world literature. |
| 6 | Expressive texts: poetry. Reading examples of poems by well-known Turkish poets and developing the appreciation of reading and listening to poetry. |
| 7 | Types of written expression related to daily life: travel writing, memoirs, and diaries. Reading and analyzing sample texts of these genres. |
| 8 | Letter as a type of written expression. The relationship between letters and daily life. How this genre is used in correspondence via email. Reading sample letters from Turkish literature. |
