Course Content
Urban planning process and historical development. Urban elements: Working, living, recreational areas and transportation. Settlement densities and construction coefficients. Zoning plans, their purposes and implementation tools. The relationship between zoning law and regulations and architecture. Urban design principles. Formation of urban spatial texture.
Objectives of the Course
Perception of the connection between urban planning processes and architectural studies. Interpretation of urban environmental problems and potentials, discussion on the proposal alternatives. To understand the legal tools of urban planning and practice
