Course Content
Definition of city, urban design process, urban design criteria, environmental design criteria, environmental space organization, evaluation, space quality (Continuity, Diversity, Legibility, Respectability, Visual Appropriateness, Richness, Identity), Environmental design in historical process (Prehistoric cities, Medieval cities, Modern cities, Post-modern cities), Urban Gaps (Squares, Streets and Green spaces)
Objectives of the Course
Students understood the concept of environment, relation between people and their environments, affects of people's physical and functional needs to the environment. At the end of the course studentscan design built environments with the environmental design point of view.
