Course Content
Information systems and strategies. Basic concepts related to information systems. Information systems in organizations. Decision making and decision support systems. Development and establishment of information systems. Security and control of information systems. Electronic business / Electronic commerce. Strategic use of information systems (Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Resource Planning, etc.) Social dimension of information technologies - their impact on organizations and society. Management Information System applications.
Objectives of the Course
The main objective of this course is to introduce Management Information Systems and to explain the role of information systems on many organizational functions. This course will provide a managerial perspective on the use, design and evaluation of information systems.
