Objectives of the Course
1. Introduce students of ferrous metals and explain their general properties. 2. Convey the fundamentals of the gravity casting and the purpose the using of these methods. 3. Gain the ability to choose one of the gravity casting methods. 4. Introduce the main and auxiliary equipments used in gravity casting process. 5. Explain the pattern and gating system design in gravity casting. 6. Explain mold & core materials and mold & core making methods. 7. Gain the ability to apply new parts to the gravity casting method.
