Course Content
Classification of Metallic Materials, Ferrous alloys, cast irons, steels, aluminum alloys, titanium alloys. Heat-treated steel and cast iron microstructures of cast iron microstructures. Investigation of microstructures of non-ferrous alloys.Sample preparation and metallography.
Objectives of the Course
To create and discuss microstructure-property-production relation; To classify material properties, production methods and to relate them to microstructure; To distinguish and classify metalographic sample preparation processes
