Master's Degree in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation with Thesis
Aim of the Program
The Master’s Program with Thesis in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation aims to train expert physiotherapists who possess advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in the field; effectively utilize scientific research methods; adopt an evidence-based practice approach; demonstrate developed critical and analytical thinking skills; adhere to ethical values; and are open to interdisciplinary collaboration. The program aims to enable students to follow current scientific developments in areas such as neuromusculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, pediatric, and geriatric rehabilitation, as well as sports health; interpret and apply advanced assessment and rehabilitation approaches; plan and conduct independent, original scientific research; and share their findings on national and international scientific platforms. Throughout the program—which comprises specialized courses, seminars, scientific research practices, and thesis work—the goal is to develop students' skills in research planning, data collection and analysis, scientific reporting, academic writing, critical thinking, problem-solving, and lifelong learning. Furthermore, students are supported in gaining the competence to translate current scientific and technological advancements in physiotherapy and rehabilitation into clinical practice and research. Graduates of the program are equipped to work as expert physiotherapists in public and private healthcare institutions, participate in research and development activities, pursue academic careers at the doctoral level, and contribute to the generation of scientific knowledge in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
