Course Content
Introduction to project management, project lifecycle, project organization and stakeholder management, project scope management, work breakdown structure (WBS), project scheduling techniques, Gantt charts, CPM and PERT methods, project cost management, resource planning, project quality management, risk management, project monitoring and control processes, project management software and application examples.
Objectives of the Course
The aim is to teach the fundamental concepts, processes, and techniques of project management; to enable students to acquire the ability to systematically manage the project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure phases. It also aims to provide students with basic knowledge and practical competence in project scope, time, cost, quality, risk, resource, and stakeholder management; and to enable them to effectively use project management tools in industrial engineering problems.
