Course Content
The course "Productivity and Value Analysis" begins by teaching students the basics of the concept of productivity and the internal and external factors affecting this concept. Partial, multiple and total factor productivity, as well as the formation of the total duration of the job and productivity measurement models are emphasized. After the theoretical information on productivity management, a midterm exam is given. In the second half of the course, productivity improvement techniques, especially industrial engineering techniques and economic analyses, are examined in depth. Cost engineering and value engineering/analysis topics focus on cost reduction and value creation processes. The course ends with the efficient use of capital resources and effective management of human resources.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach students the concept of productivity and the factors affecting productivity in a comprehensive manner. It is aimed to provide students with the ability to apply productivity analysis techniques, develop productivity management strategies and increase the productivity of businesses using industrial engineering techniques and economic analysis. In addition, students who contribute to the processes of reducing costs and increasing value by using expense and value engineering methods, gain knowledge and competence in the effective management of capital and human resources, thus becoming equipped to optimize the performance of businesses and gain competitive advantage.
