Course Content
The "Quality Management" course begins with the concept of quality and its historical development. The course examines in detail the philosophy of quality, the views of quality gurus such as Deming, Juran and Crosby, and addresses the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM). Information on international standards and certification processes, quality improvement models and quality awards such as ISO 9000:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 is provided. Kaizen and continuous improvement methods are introduced and how students can integrate these methods into their business processes is discussed. The use of seven basic and seven new quality tools in quality control and improvement studies is discussed. Additionally, continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma methodology and DMAIC processes are also important components of the course. The course content is supported by theoretical knowledge as well as practical applications and case studies.
