Course Content
Development of zoning legislation in Turkey, definition and branches of zoning law, sources of zoning law, legal framework of planning in Turkey, planning stages, relevant central and local units, approach to zoning and planning in Constitutional Court decisions, important articles of Zoning Law, other important laws ( Environmental Law, Coastal Law, Cultural and Natural Heritage Protection Law, Tourism Law, etc.), criticism of zoning legislation in Turkey, with examples from court decisions
Objectives of the Course
To introduce Turkish zoning legislation, to examine the development of zoning planning in Turkey and the basic legal regulations that shape zoning plans, to analyze the legal development of zoning planning, to evaluate zoning problems and legal problems and judicial decisions within this framework.
