Earthquakes: Properties of Ground Motion and Earthquake Parameters, Earthquake Calculation of Simple Structures, Calculation and Use of Elastic and Calculation Spectra, Equivalent Static Method, Modal Spectral Calculation, Earthquake Regulations, Ductile Structure Design and Its Importance, Methods in Earthquake Resistant Structure Design
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach earthquake and its causes, the effects of earthquakes on people and structures, the principles of earthquake resistant building design, and to introduce our country's earthquake regulations.
