Course Content
Importance of Basic Soil Improvement in Civil Engineering, Definition of subjects, Adequacy of foundation and foundation. Soil improvement methods. Compacting of the foundation floor. Compression due to ground. Compacting machines. Pre-loading, improvement with sand piles, soil freezing methods. Improvement with deep compressors, Dynamic consolidation. Lime and cement stabilization, sand, stone and cement columns. Improvement with ground exchange. Injection materials and methods. Ground nails, reinforced floor, places and design. Examination of the applied fields for improvement of ground.
Objectives of the Course
The improvement of soils is one of the most important subjects of Basic Engineering and in practice, Civil Engineers have the ability to produce solutions in the field of ground improvement with current course subjects as they are in the field of developing economical and safe solutions in this field which is constantly developing with new technologies
