Course Content
The course is based on the idea that it is important for students to be aware of the social, economic and cultural conditions in which they live. Within the scope of the course; the change of social structure from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey; the development characteristics of Turkey's social structure in the Republican period; the specific conditions of Turkish modernisation; Turkey's socio-demographic population distribution; social classes and social stratification in Turkey, Turkey's economic structure.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course; Turkey of today's students social, cultural, social and economic structure to ensure the comprehension of the historical context and thus understand current social problems of Turkey.
