Course Content
Within the scope of the course, the requirements of social work practice, the roles and responsibilities of the professional, the dynamics of social investigation, professional principles, and ethical decision-making processes are addressed. Additionally, case management, counselling skills, risk mapping, project preparation, and reporting techniques are emphasised. Students prepare poster presentations on the role and functions of social work in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, based on the areas they work in during the block placement.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable students to prepare an original project or seminar paper by integrating the theoretical and practical knowledge they have acquired during their bachelor's degree in social work. Students will develop their skills in analysis, reporting and presentation regarding different areas of social work practice; they will gain research and practical experience within a framework of professional values, principles and ethics.
