Course Content
Within the scope of the course, the intellectual and historical foundations of internationalization will be explained in order to facilitate students' understanding of international social work. In connection with this, international social work as a concept and its content will be explained through the emergence of international social work and the factors that prepare it. The relationship between international social work and global social policies, internationalization and the future of the welfare state in the world, national and international legislation will be discussed. Again, within the scope of the course, some of the fields of study of international social work; International migration and the social problems it causes, conflicts and pressures related to the increasing interactions and dependencies of societies, the increase in poverty and its causes related to globalization, international strategies to fight poverty, the contributions of alternative development systems, the impact and contributions of civil society in international studies, international social regulations. .
Objectives of the Course
It is to provide students with a macro-level perspective on current developments and international social work needs and studies, and to form the theoretical infrastructure and skill basis for working in this emerging field.
