Course Content
The course is based on the idea that it is important for students to be aware of their social, economic and cultural conditions. Within the scope of the course, mainly; The change of social structure from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey; The characteristics of the development of the social structure of Turkey in the Republican period; The specific conditions of Turkish modernization; transition to multi-party political system and its aftermath, Turkey's sociodemographic population distribution; Social classes and social stratification in Turkey, economy and working life in Turkey are discussed.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of lesson; To enable students to comprehend the social, cultural, social and economic structure of today's Turkey in its historical context and thus to understand Turkey's current social problems.
