Bu ders; gelişimsel değerlendirme ile ilgili tanım ve kavramlar, gelişimsel değerlendirme ve tanılamanın temel ilkeler temel ilkeleri ve etik, değerlendirme ve tanımlamada etkili olan etmenler, gelişimsel tarama, gözlem yöntemleri, gelişimsel tanılamanın tanımı ve önemi, dünyada yaygın olarak kullanılan standart gelişimsel değerlendirme araçları, Türkiye?de yaygın olarak kullanılan standart gelişimsel değerlendirme araçları, gelişimsel tanılama süreci ve kullanılan değerlendirme araçları, gelişimsel değerlendirme (formal ve informal değerlendirme) yapma ve değerlendirmede etkili olan diğer araçlardan (kontrol listeleri, portfolyo gibi) yararlanma, gelişim raporu hazırlama gelişimsel izlem yapma, uygun kayıt formları oluşturarak raporlama yapma, konularını içermektedir.
