Course Content
This course covers definitions and concepts related to developmental assessment; the fundamental principles and ethics of developmental assessment and diagnosis; factors influencing assessment and identification; developmental screening; observation methods; the definition and importance of developmental diagnosis; standardized developmental assessment tools commonly used worldwide; standardized developmental assessment tools commonly used in Türkiye; the developmental diagnostic process and assessment tools used in this process; conducting developmental assessments (formal and informal) and utilizing other assessment tools such as checklists and portfolios; preparing developmental reports; conducting developmental monitoring; and reporting by creating appropriate record forms.
Objectives of the Course
To provide the students with the knowledge about evaluating the development of infants / children whose development is at risk / diagnosed and conducting development based support services
