Course Content
Starting with a historical perspective on the concept of childhood and explaining the factors affecting development. Examining prenatal and postnatal development separately. Dividing postnatal development into three stages as infancy, early childhood and late childhood and conveying cognitive, psychosocial, moral, language, emotions, gender role development in each stage. Conveying family systems and child rearing systems. Talking about positive and negative behaviors. Stating the effects of institutions outside the family on child development.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course to teach psychological changes during the time infancy, first childhood and late childhood. And also give an information about the main questions of developmental psychology like; nature/nurture controversy.
