Course Content
Preparing the child for the procedures to be performed with age-appropriate explanations, using therapeutic play activities, ensuring that the child who is scheduled for surgery visits the hospital before the surgery, introducing the materials to be used, introducing the team, allowing the parents to be with the child to support and comfort the child.
Objectives of the Course
It is a care philosophy that aims to minimize the physical (insomnia, pain, immobility, etc.) and psychological (anxiety, fear, frustration and guilt etc.) problems experienced by children and their families receiving health care services.
