Course Content
This course covers the basic concepts and historical development of occupational health and safety; the duties, powers and responsibilities of the occupational physician and occupational safety specialist in the workplace; concepts of risk, danger, primary, secondary and tertiary protection; physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial risks; It includes issues of occupational health and safety legislation and practices in the workplace.
Objectives of the Course
This course aims to enable students to identify the causes of work accidents and occupational illnesses, the knowledge and skills to protect them from workplace accidents and occupational diseases, and to learn about worker health and job safety legislation and to be evaluated with workplace practices.
