Course Content
The course introduces students to the fundamentals of hearing and genetics, focusing on the classification of genetic hearing loss, key genes, and inheritance patterns. Molecular diagnostics, genetic testing, ethical issues, clinical applications, as well as treatment, rehabilitation, and current research are also covered.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the fundamental molecular and clinical mechanisms of genetic hearing loss, grasp inheritance patterns and genetic diagnostic methods, and develop the ability to apply this knowledge in clinical practice.
