Course Content
The course covers global supply chain management, international transportation modes (sea, air, road and rail), logistics service providers and third party logistics (3PL), customs procedures and regulations, logistics information systems and technologies, warehousing and inventory management, risk management in international logistics, green logistics and sustainability, quality management and performance measurement in logistics, logistics cost analysis and control. Students gain the ability to effectively manage logistics operations required by international trade.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach students the basic concepts, theories and practices of international logistics management. Students will gain knowledge and skills on topics such as global supply chain management, international transportation, customs procedures, logistics planning and strategies. In addition, it is aimed to provide students with the competence to effectively manage logistics operations required by international trade.
